Our Intents

We would like to build several super computers, link them with infini-band, and do several simulations such as protoplanetary disk formation with optical tau>1 (leading to dust instabilities). To do this we will code in CUDA our simulations and run the them in parallel across many threads.

We would also like to build a super computer at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus out of GPU clusters that has roughly half the performance of the super computer at the St. George Campus "SciNet" with a fraction of the energy costs.

The Summer 2010 research team consists of Pawel Artymowicz; Jeffrey Fung; Joshua Albert; Vince Vetro; Anthony Leung; James Joyce; Robert Labancz. Each person has different roles in the team.

In the picture are Robert, Vince, Josh, and Pawel having just finished assembling the first super computer.
